Metaphysical Mom's Musings
Welcome to my sacred space, where I blend metaphysical tools, nature’s wisdom, and spiritual truths to navigate life’s mysteries. This morning’s quiet time unfolded as a powerful tapestry of guidance—tarot cards, animal wisdom, and Scripture wove together to reveal a path of reflection, correction, and hope. Here’s what emerged.
The Lovers card points ahead, an angelic blessing hovering over a scene of choice and duality. Trees and a serpent hint at temptation, though this doesn’t fully resonate with me yet. Perhaps it’s less about literal temptation and more about the harmony of aligning with divine influence—a promise of guidance toward unity and purpose.
As I pondered the tarot, the owl emerged from my animal wisdom deck, a symbol of clairvoyance and silent observation. Linked to Athena, goddess of wisdom, the owl perches as a guide to see what others cannot. Its message? Use keen intuition to pierce through the unseen in some life situation. This card felt like a spark, igniting deeper reflection.
Just at this moment, midway through my quiet time, a revelation dropped into my mind like a stone into still water: my worrisome thoughts toward my son could become a curse—a self-fulfilling prophecy casting harm where I intend love. The weight of this hit hard. Instantly, I declared, “I do not consent,” rejecting that energy with fierce intention. The owl’s wisdom seemed to underscore this—urging me to see clearly and shift my focus.
Seeking alignment, I turned to a daily Bible app, and these verses met me:
“Search me thoroughly, O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts; See if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.”
I explored this with an AI companion, and its interpretation deepened my understanding:
AI framed this as a prayer of surrender and transformation—both introspective and relational—trusting God to purify and guide. It’s a model of approaching the divine with openness, not defensiveness, seeking a way that endures.
This quiet time took flight after the owl card, weaving a thread through every element. The insight about my anxious thoughts being potentially “hurtful” echoed Psalm 139’s call to examine and release what doesn’t serve. The tarot offered a roadmap: the III of Wands affirms my progress, the King of Swords urges logical clarity to reframe my worries, and The Lovers hints at heavenly guidance ahead—a blessing to trust in.
The owl’s clairvoyance invited me to see beyond the surface, and Scripture provided the remedy: surrender my anxious heart to God, reject harmful patterns, and step into the everlasting way. My declaration—“I do not consent”—became a pivot point, aligning my spirit with intention and love rather than fear.
What anxious thoughts might you be carrying? Could they, too, hold unintended weight? I invite you to join me in this prayer, this seeking, this trust in a higher wisdom—whether through cards, creatures, or sacred words.
I encourage you to minister to your own soul with a consistent morning quiet time journey of insight and alignment. This covenant you make with yourself to allow space for quietude and presence summons deep insight, a sense of connection to something larger, and an undeniable interior solace. I'd be honored if you shared the gems you uncover for yourself in the stillness. Let’s walk the everlasting way together.
